Privacy Policy
Effective October 29, 2026
This policy applies to Haru · Little Differences (package name com.haru.diff.community), published on Google Play by the developer Haru Community, which is operated by Dream Corporation Inc. Dream Corporation Inc. ("we") provides Haru · Little Differences, a spot-the-difference photo puzzle app (the "App"; depending on language and device it may also appear as 하루 틀린그림찾기, ハル まちがいさがし and other localized names). Your game progress, records and settings are stored only on your device. The App shows ads through Google AdMob. This policy explains what the App stores and how it is used, the ad data Google processes, device permissions, device backups and the role of app stores, and how we handle support emails you send us.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect your personal information through the App. The App has no sign-up or login, and it does not send your game progress, records, settings or device information to our servers or to anyone else.
The App contains no analytics, crash reporting or location tracking tools operated by us. It includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) to show ads; the ad data Google processes is described in section 6.
2. Information stored only on your device
The following information, created as you use the App, is stored only in the App’s private storage on your device. We cannot access it.
- Game in progress - the current photo, the differences found, hints used and time remaining
- Records - finished pictures (up to the most recent 1,000), favorites, stars collected, the number of pictures finished, your daily streak and Today’s puzzle assignments
- Play history - the photos already offered, used so that new games bring photos you have not played
- Hearts - the number of hearts remaining
- Settings - app language, difficulty, haptic feedback and discovery sounds
All puzzle photos are built into the App, so puzzles are played on your device without downloading photos. To guard against data loss, the App also keeps a recovery copy of your latest valid data on the device. The App has no separate lock or encryption; the information is protected by your device’s own security, such as its screen lock. Deleting the App removes this information from your device, although copies in device backups may remain (see section 5).
3. Photos and in-app content
The puzzle photos are fictional scenes included in the App, and every person pictured is fictional. The App does not access your camera or photo library and never uses photos you take or store on your device in puzzles.
Tapping "Check for updates" in Settings opens the App Store or Google Play on your device. The open-source licenses screen only displays license text included in the App.
4. Device permissions
The App does not request device permissions. It does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, calendar or notifications. The Android app declares internet access so that ads can load, and the ad SDK may add the advertising ID permission. These permissions do not display a request prompt. See section 6 about advertising identifiers.
The App uses vibration and sounds when you find a difference. You can turn them off in Settings with "Haptic feedback" and "Discovery sounds".
5. Device backups
The App has no backup, export or sync feature of its own. Depending on your device settings, App data may be included in device backups such as iCloud backup on iPhone or Google backup on Android. These backups are handled not by us but by Apple (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) or Google (https://policies.google.com/privacy) under their own policies.
6. Ads, third parties and app stores
The App shows two kinds of ads through Google AdMob: a banner ad displayed at the bottom of the App’s main screens, and rewarded video ads that play only when you choose to watch one to refill your hearts. To load ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK connects to the internet and, depending on your device settings and any consent that applies, Google may collect and process your IP address (including approximate location), device identifiers such as the advertising ID, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver ads, measure performance, run analytics and prevent fraud. This data is encrypted in transit.
Ads may be personalized based on your interests. Google may use the advertising ID and device and app information to deliver, measure and personalize ads and to prevent fraud, under Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the App shows Google’s consent message, where you make your choice, and you can change it at any time in "Ad privacy choices", which then appears in Settings. Elsewhere, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads; menu names vary by device). On iOS, the App does not ask for tracking permission, so ads on iOS are not personalized through tracking.
Your game progress, records, favorites and settings are not passed to the ad SDK. Google and its partners process ad data under their own policies, and it may be processed on servers outside your country (https://policies.google.com/privacy) (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads). You can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties. Apart from the ad SDK, the open-source components the App uses serve only on-device storage, showing the app version and opening the store, and they do not transmit your information.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Downloads, payments and reviews are handled by each store under its own privacy policy. The stores may provide us with statistics such as download counts and, depending on your device settings, crash reports that do not contain your game records.
7. Intended age and children’s privacy
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not ask for or collect your age. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children, through the App. If a child has sent us a support email, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its deletion.
8. Retention and deletion
Information stays on your device until you delete it. To delete your records at once, tap Settings > Reset game progress. This removes your collection, favorites, the puzzle in progress, statistics and play history, while your settings and hearts stay as they are. This cannot be undone.
Deleting the App removes all of its data, including settings, from your device. Copies in device backups must be deleted from those backups separately.
Resetting your progress or deleting the App does not delete ad data Google has already processed. Manage it with your device’s advertising ID settings and Google’s privacy tools. We cannot delete data held by Google.
9. Your rights and how to contact us
Because the information the App stores never leaves your device, you can view, change or delete it in the App at any time. For questions about this policy, or to access or delete support emails you have sent us, please contact us below.
10. Support emails
When you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use this information only to reply and resolve your issue, and keep it only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and comply with applicable law. Please do not send payment card details or passwords.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when laws or App features change, and we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
